I've been meaning to begin a project called the 5 (or 3) Minute Portrait. Basically the aim is to walk up to a stranger in public, introduce myself and my aim and then get a single interesting portrait in a very short window of time in the immediate vicinity of where I meet them. From saying hello to saying goodbye it should take no more than 5 minutes. I can't work out what's a better challenge... a 3 or 5 minute portrait project, but 3 feels about right!
The WA prompted me to get things underway. I took this a few minutes ago.
Well done Tony. I used to live in Blackwater not far from you before I emigrated. This bloke you captured seems a little bit away from home given that Grimsby is a way oop north.
Small world! I sometimes go and photograph the aircraft at Blackbushe aerodrome! Yep, he drives down every Wednesday! Crazy round trip given what time he has to leave to be here for 9am!
P.S. Strange as well, my Mum is from Perth - mad world!
