So this was the 2nd newborn session where the little one would just not sleep. newborn was up since 7am, I arrived at the home @ 9:30am. Advised mom via email and phone convos to fed the little one as close to 9:30am as possible to make sure they had a full tummy which she did but still this little guy did not want to sleep. Mom was a little sad she didn't get the posed pictures such as baby with head on arms, or head on chin etc. we tried posing with the little one awake but they were just not having tummy time at all while awake. Oh well just roll with the punches and work with the baby instead of against it.
I still think we got some great shots, I switched gears to more lifestyle instead of posed proppy style. Changed up my processing a little bit with this set as well so will see what the feedback says. I usually do B&Ws a tad more low contrast but decided to change it up with this set as well. I chose B&W for a majority of them because the lighting in the nursery created a very nice shadow detail and depth that I just did not see while in color. I made the choice to go B&W and was happy with that decision.

10. This one was a little soft but I still liked the expression and decided to keep it. The client probably wont even notice it.
