Canon 6D with the 40mm f2.8 STM Pancake lens, ISO 800, f8, 1/200th of a second (forgot about the 1/160th sync speed). Used one Canon 550EX on a stand up and to the left and another 550EX in an Orbis Ring Flash around the lens. Kinda tough to use the Orbis with a 40mm pancake, but I made it work.

I really like the light the ring flash produces. I know it isn't for everyone though.

C&C very welcome.

Thanks,
Tom

Over sharpened. Too much contrast. Otherwise nice.

Like the lighting setup great job. I don't think its over sharpened or has too much contrast.I enjoy your artistic taste in processing.

It does look a little sharp, but I think at most I added +10 on sharpening in lightroom. I did bump the clarity up to +25 though so that may have contributed to the sharpness. I will try another processing version tonight and see what I get from it. Do you think it would benefit from a black and white conversion?

Just wish he would stop chewing on his lips. Nervous habits of a young boy I guess.

I like the orbis catchlight! Out of curiosity, is there reason why you used iso 800 with 2 flashes?

Frankly, had it on ISO 800 from earlier available light stuff and forgot to switch it.
