I, like many FMers have a usually place we frequent over and over, some may go to Yosemite, some may go to Death Valley, or the Red Woods, or the waterfalls of Oregon. I usually end up hitting up the beaches of the Central Coast. I've shot up and down the coast from Big Sur to the dunes of Guadalupe. One place that I always seem to go back to is Montaņa de Oro State Park. I was at the point of knowing it intimately, knowing where to go per the lighting conditions and ive gotten most of my best shots there. I am intimate with it....
or so I thought...
Enter the Point Buchon trail. a section of trail maintained by the local power company as there is a Nuclear Power plant on this property. The trail is open from 8am - 4pm leaving no time for good light. a check in and waiver signing is required to walk the trail...
ITS A TEASE OF A TRAIL!!
there are more Sea Arches on this trail than i have seen anywhere. gorgeous arches on every point and massive clusters of sea stacks everywhere. So i got in as soon as the trail opened and before the fog burned off.
