Where is this road in relation to Banff/Jasper/Yoho/Kootenay/Kananaskis Country ?

Those are two of my favorite spots. They are both great but the skiers make the 2nd one best.

HWY 40 is also a beautiful drive. I would say the Smith Dorrien is just easier to pull off and far less traffic. It's gravel vs. pavement however but generally well maintained.

The B&W takes the cake for me. Really nice (although I find the vignette a bit strong and distracting in the upper corners). Looks pretty cold!

Okay, yeah I've stayed in Canmore several times and been down that very road. Thanks for clarifying. I haven't been there in a while.
