Eric,
Nice to see you over here.
This is a wonderful shot of a beautiful sunrise.
That part of the Everglades N.P. is about as good as it gets for wildlife, also, as you no doubt discovered.
Not far from Anhinga Trail is the road summit between east and west Florida. Three feet above sea level. I was pulling a travel trailer, but made it okay.

Jonathan, thanks so much. I guess it's kind of after sunset....by about 12 hours. It was a gorgeous sunrise that really does have more of a sunset look.

Hey Charlie, thanks! It was a morning that I will remember for quite a time. I don't remember having a sunrise like this before. And yes the state is flat as a pancake....there was a sign that mentioned the 3' above sea level status...it got quite a chuckle out of me.

Eric, that's one beauty of a sunrise. Huge skyful of color. Nice work. What kind of bird action did you see there last week?
For wildlife I go west on the Tamiami Trail. Much more game out there than south at the Park.

Thanks Wayne. We saw anhinga of course (and young ones still in the nests), cormorants, 3 adult and 1 juvi purple gallinule, egrets, tricolor and great blue heron, wood storks, black and turkey vultures, a bald eagle perched on the road between the Anhinga trail and Flamingo, tons of gators, soft shelled turtles, woodpeckers. I hear a panther was seen early in the morning a week before too.
It was well worth the trip.
