Hi Doug. Not sure on this one I'm afraid; it's a cool scene but the processing is a miss for me - you've got muddy midtones, green hues and a visible join in the sky while the foreground looks oversharpened to the point where its beginning to obscure detail rather than enhance it (most apparent in the scrub to the left of the frame).

Sorry for the negativity - there's probably an interesting shot hiding in there but I feel a second shot at the processing may be required to bring it out.

I agree with Tom. On my screen, all of the ground in the image (mountains to foreground) has an extreme speckly look, the kind of artifact that is produced by over sharpening in PS or over structure processing in software like Nik Vivesa. The greens are too artificially neon, the browns of the dead cholla branches are too strangely red.

All of these problems are easily fixed by starting over and going easier--and more judiciously--on the adjustment controls. Given your camera equipment, the original image was probably very good before the processing efforts.

Hey Doug,

I nice scene, to me it has a cyan cast to it, although there a couple of areas in the sky that are yellow. It is oversharpened, but that could be just from the web version. But the colors are just off. Maybe give your monitor a look at, because this doesn't look like your normal work.

I think John and Jim explained it better than I could. Glad it wasn't just me that saw the problems, I'd feel terrible for giving crit if the issue was at my end!
