Cold out yesterday with weather, around 7 degrees on this late afternoon hike out to Savage Falls, apart of Savage Gulf within the South Cumberland State Park. This is a beautiful falls however attempting to get a vantage point proved to be quite treacherous. Here are two I thought I would share.

Hi Jon,
The 2nd one is very nice, i'm not sure if the snow at the bottom helps anchor this shot or not. I scrolled to just above the snow on the bottom and it looks like a nice panorama mode shot.

Great shots. I agree with Sunny. I think if you cut ouf the bottom snow for the 2nd photo, it might offer a different "feel"

This makes me jealous. Im stuck ib the only state with 70 degree weather (California) wishing it was cold and freezing

Great shots! I like the second without the snow at the bottom

Thank you Sunny, Mstic and killersnowman.

Sunny and Mstic, I may try the crop. I kinda liked the sideways "V" with the fallls to right, purposely using the snow covered rock as an anchor point. But you may be right and I will try an alternative of this. Thank you for the feedback!

I have been wanting to go to the Gulf but it's too cold for me. Thanks for sharing Jon.
I like the diagonal snow bank also. It leads my eyes to the rocks on the left
which leads me to the falls.

Really awesome second shot. These conditions are amazing. Someday I will tick the box on my "dream shot list" and capture some waterfalls in winter like this

Thank you Justin. This winter vortex has really made winter waterfalls fun here in Middle TN on the Cumberland Plateau. Yesterday afternoon was better and this morning was the most impressive. I will be posting more over the next few days. Sadly, warm temperatures are rolling through and it will be well above freezing today and the rest of the week. The winter falls will be just drab reminders of what once was. I am thankful that I just happened to have this week off from work for a "staycation." It has been a productive few days.
