Hi all! Part of my resolutions for 2014 is not to be a stranger in N&W. After all, this is where I got my start 10 years ago

Last weekend, I travelled to Syracuse NY to visit my brother. I was hoping to find a Snowy while up there, and thanks to ebird.org, I was able to pin down a sighting near a Home Depot about 15 miles away. I was not disappointed

Unfortunately, I found the limitations of my 5D2's AF tracking when the owl took off.

Very nice to see 'snows' on the evergreens as it seems everyone is finding them on the beach!

I am stepping out to see if I can find the ones that are supposed to be in my area..............wish me luck!

FYI, you don't have to go to NY to see snowy's. There are 3 right here in Frederick County with easy access.
