Ronny, you're the best salesman Zeiss has. I've tried to stay away from the 2/100 for a long time, but I'm not sure I can resist anymore!

I'll start way back... with the ZF 25/2.8 - a cheap solution for Zeiss beginners

it was my first Zeiss lens, and I still can't get around to exchange it for the better 25/2 -
it is still very good for my use and small and light (well, compared to the other Zeiss
lenses and especially to the impeccable 21/2.8)
Also it has close focusing capabilities almost like a macro lens, which is fun sometimes.

It's not better, just different. The crazy curvature of field on the 2,8/25 can be a lot of fun, especially close-up.

the 25/2 is supposed to have no distortion and CA, this is what I meant with "better".
I, for sure am not arguing against the 25/2.8 - it is a very nice landscape lens.

although not very sharp at close distance, I can make do with it, when no macro lens is at hand. Second is a crop as far as I remember.

Ronny, I adore your flower shots, dog shots, many other shots and most of all that slug series - I always wondered whether there is some focus stacking or partial focusing in post
involved, or is that the natural depth of field of the 100 MP on a slug?

No stacking ..never use focus-stacking on my macro shot's.. or on any of my shot's

Yes it's the natural depth of field from 100 MP

It's a hoverfly so sometimes it stands perfectly still in the air , and then you have to snap the picture
