It's a shame that a few that don't often post here on the is forum have showed up to try to place blame on you Michael for doing what you would have done instinctively with or without a camera. Whether or whether not your presence is what released the GH from the grip of Coopers is a tough one to call. Juvi Coopers are like crazy kids and often are not the best at what they do but sure make serious attempts on getting their prey.
Acting out of compassion to save an animal in distress is a difficult emotion to cancel out and rule in favor of 'let nature take over' Not too many people can walk away from that. Being able to observe and evacuate an event like this without interfering is not an easy task. At what point are you interfering, how long can you watch without effecting the event taking place etc. You kind of learn it as you go along, right now Michael you are as excited as can be and it is all new to you, you didn't do anything wrong in my opinion but you have now an understanding of our place as photographers or observers in situations like this. Even if you didn't have your camera in hand I believe you would have done exactly the same thing so no need to blame the 'phoographer' 
Wow, what a very cool experience you had, thanks for sharing your images and your experience. You really don't have to explain yourself to those that are trolling your post. I'm pretty sure each time something like this happens near you that you will treat it differently as needed Michael

Thanks so much Karl for the comment I feel that we all learn something from life be it good or bad it all comes down to how we apply what we learn.Today i learned i have one more person i can call a friend and i thank you for that.I saw this somewhere a long time ago and correct me if i am not writing it right A photographer comes up to a burning building no one else is there does he run in to help or grab his camera?Sounds a bit insensitive but $hit like that happens every day the decisions we make are what makes us who we are and i feel good about mine Thanks again
