p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Frostbite Falls (near Seattle)

I didn't find Bullwinkle or Rocky, but I did happen across this frigid scene. I know this pales (so to speak) in comparison to the Midwest and East Coast, but out here, it's been too cold to rain. Which is an upset. It's been in the 20s to low-30s for nearly a week, cold enough to start frosting over one of the primary tourist stops in/near the city.

The closeup (No. 1) appears as a black-and-white, but if you look closely, you'll see a little blue. The best vistas were closed off, due to iciness of course, so No. 2 was the best I could do to get more of a complete scene.

Apologies to our Canadian friends for whom this would be downright balmy. But cold is relative, isn't it? You will see women dressed in fur in Beverly Hills during L.A.'s "winter," ie in the 60s.

Stay warm out there!

Glenn

I know the location you took this from. I spent a day there last spring. Great work. Jim

I've seen a lot of images from here the past few days. Just by looking at your image, it feels fridgid. Nicely done.

Thanks, Jim. I live so close and have been taking the location for granted. I hadn't been there in maybe a couple decades.

Thanks, Nick. I hiked down to the river and back, almost straight down (and up), so I was pretty heated, fortunately.
