Much of the US has now had the first taste of winter, and many people might be fondly looking back at the past summer and reliving those wonderful, warm, sunny days. Here are a few that remind me of this past summer. As always, I'd love to hear your thoughts on improving- so don't hesitate to let me know if you see something that could have been done better

I know not everyone is a fan of tight crops, but I love getting those close up, intimate looks that bring the viewer into the scene. Slightly misfocused.

Nice set Mitesh. I was going to critique that the first is not in focus but then I read your caption!! Can't put one past you. Then I was proud of myself for being able to ID the osprey in #4 before reading your caption. In the end, I think my favs are 3 and 5.

Thanks, Geoff. Well, I was able to catch the really obvious mistake that I made. Crazy how the tiniest movements can cause OOF at close distances using long FLs...

Even though you used a slower shutter speed, #3 looks sharper than the first two, and I like it the best.

Very nice looking set Mitesh. The first two are my faves, with #2 being my pick of the set. Nice comp in #1. Well done.

Very nice series Mitesh. My favorite is the osprey silhouette but happy with all.

To be honest Mitesh I don't know why you would included a shot that you know you missed the focus and then ask how to improve these

3 is the best of the set IMHO, it could be improved by warming it up some with a bit of a push on the exposure, it's a bit underexposed.

Point taken, Tim. I should have asked specifically about the crop and whether it was aesthetically pleasing. I captioned about the crop, but as you pointed out, without specifically asking for comments on that, there could be confusion as to why a misfocused shot was posted. I'll be a bit more careful to be clearer next time

Thanks for the suggestion on #3 as well- here is a rework of that one along the lines you recommended. I think it is better.

I like the low angles and the tight crops is something I like to do when I can. Nice set.
