Only one today guys like Morris. We had an amazing time photographing this one snowy. It was very cooperative, not too skittish and gave us some great looks/poses in a few different locales. The Atlantic Ocean and the grey sky is the backdrop for this shot. I only took about 1500 shots so be prepared for a couple of posts interspersed with more from Botswana.
It was so much fun shooting with Morris as he has such spirit and passion for photography. Thanks for a great day!

Great composition and exposure Eric... excellent work.

It still seems odd to me to see these guys on a beach.

Me too… so very jealous!
I love the composition on this shot Eric. The beach sand, litter and background really adds great depth and a sense of place.

I'm so used to seeing whiskers and spots in your posts, though the yellow eyes continue to be a consistent theme

This is lovely Eric. I also enjoyed the shoot and your enthusiasm which played off each other. It sounds like you took more images that me as I came home with just over 1,000. It is interesting that in your photo the owl is looking at me and in my photo the owl is looking at you.

I had a surprise visit by a friend from out of town and also have a conference this week so no more photos processed today and I don’t know when I’ll finish. I do promise that the rest will follow.

Lucky you, this guy saved you some travel money

Love the comp Eric, the isolation works really well. One crit would be warm up the WB, the bird looks a bit blue

Thanks Kirk and since most of my snowy owls have either been on a beach or by the bay it's normal for me...but I certainly understand.
