p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Rayqual adapter baffles

I have Rayqual CY->NEX and OM->NEX adapters which I bought for APS-C cameras.

I want to use them now with the A7R, but they have baffles inside which cause vignetting on a full frame sensor.

There seem to be two baffles - one rectangular one midway through, and one circular one near the back. They're made of stiff but flimsy material, maybe plastic or even paper.

I don't want to take the adapters apart, or cause light leaks or other problems. Anyone else tried removing these baffles? Can you just pull them out with needle nose pliers?

Rayqual have a service where they will take back the APSC versions and give you a big discount on the FF version.

The baffles are the best thing about Rayqual!

The Rayqual adapters for the FF E-mount also have baffles in these two places. Unless you have already tested your adapters on FF and know they are the older, APS only versions, make sure you don't already have the correct/ compatible version. The correct ones have the Sony alpha symbol and E on them as can be seen in the left image.
