@JohnC -- thanks. I was there for a week, Nov. 15-21. Great time to be there. . .few tourists outside of Reykjavik and the Golden Circle. The days are short, however -- Sunrise 10am, sunset 4pm. Low temps ranged from about 9(f) degrees in the highlands to 45(f) or so in Reykjavik on the last day. We had one morning of heavy snow and very low visibility on the north side of the Snaefellsnes Peninsula. Be prepared for wind. . .20-30 mph was common. First day at Jokulsarlon we had temps of about 25(f) and 40mph wind blowing down off the glacier. We also had a couple of harrowing hours on the road one night in the East Fjords when winds were sustained at about 45-50 mph and gusting to 60mph and blowing snow made visibility just about nil. Second day at Jokulsarlon was perfectly still and temps around 30. Feel free to PM me if you'd like more info.
