My Norse speed skating friend came over after two hours of practice on the Calgary Olympic Oval. We spent an afternoon of chatting and sipping. Her name "Urd" is normally associated with a male Norse god - however her parents decided on this name as it occasionally could be associated with a female goddess. By any name, she is rather special and interesting. Here are three snaps I captured at my house yesterday afternoon.

I agree that the set looses strength as I scroll down the page.

What I mean is, the first one is *stunning*.

Good thing she didn't grow up in the states. With that name, she would have been pummeled by bullies.

Thanks Greg.... I don't think she would have had problems growing up in the states -- she is a Norse goddess (Urd) - just over 184 cm and super strong ... quite possibly she might also be royalty with a second name of Åsa. Although she does not have Thor's hammer, she is certainly strong enough to wield it

Maybe not by chance she lives near to asgard (åsgårdstrand) and middle earth

1, I would bump up the exposure and soften her skin.
2, the dress coming away is very distracting, should have caught that while shooting
3 is fantastic.

I like them all, each for a different reason.

You've got enough experience and feedback that anything I'd offer up would all have been heard.

She's lovely and you've captured her in three distinctly different ways.
