A couple of weeks ago on a very unsuccessful photo exploration and missing out on a killer sunset I was able to get a few photos. This was my keeper of the day. 3 exposure blend. Mostly just for the crack of bright sky on the horizon.

PS....picked up a used 7D and 17-55/2.8 combo. Cant wait to give it a work out.
Sweet sweet light. I like the exaggeration of the UWA on the foreground. I wish the corner was a bit sharper but that could be the limitation of the lens. The light on the rocks are great.
Congrats on the new pickup. Can't wait to see new stuff from the 7D!

Thank you Kee. I agree. That is one of the downfalls of using a broken taped together lens. The manual focus ring it buried in tape and useless. I can only autofocus with the lens. I would LOVED to have focus stacked this image. for better sharpness.

Thank you Dave. If I had been able to focus stack this image then I think it would have been successful. Now, I am just disappointed with the end result. I think a crop might resolve that issue.
Yeah, the cropped version getting rid of the OOF bottom works a bit better. My one nit is that it appears the red channel is blown a bit in the ice reflection off the rocks.
