p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Sony A7/A7R post processing thread

Looking at the early samples enthusiastic new A7/A7R owners are posting all over the web, it looks (to me) like these cameras need some different post processing than what people have been used to.

It might be that so many are new to 36mp nonAA sensors. It might be the great dynamic range in the raw files. It might just be that the default Adobe profiles for these cameras are flat and lifeless.

Whatever the case -- it seems like it would be worthwhile to have a thread where we can share our tips, tricks, default workflows, camera profiles, lens profiles and so on.

FMers in Asia and Europe are getting their cameras. FMers in North America can download other people's RAWs to play with.

Please be SPECIFIC in your posts.
- How exactly did you create a color cast fixing lens profile? And how exactly do you apply it?
- Don't just say "the A7R needs less sharpening than the NEX 6 did". What do you mean by that ... less of the detail slider? more of the masking slider?
- Don't just say "it's easy to get rid of the A7R noise". Do you mean color noise or luminance noise? What denoise plug-in or filter are you using? What settings at what ISO?

I'm sure these cameras will eventually yield amazing images ... but there's going to be a learning curve and lets help each other with it!

UPDATE: I'm actually having a tough time finding raws of anything other than test charts to download. Anyone able to contribute some real-world raw images for us to play with?
