Two favourite Tibetan monasteries: the 12th century Drigung Til and Shalu, dating from the late 990s. Shalu was rebuilt with lavish Mongol funding in the 13th century, hence the Chinese style roofing.

Douglas - In western North America we have Pygmy owls smaller than Burrowing owls

Eurasian pygmy owl is mainly recognized by its small size. It is as big as a starling, measuring 15–19 centimeters, with a wingspan of 32–39 centimeters and weighing about 60 grams.

Looking from the Colosseum near the Gift Shop at I believe part of Palatine Hill, Roma (Rome), Italy. The tower at the back of the image is Santa Maria in Cosmedin church.
Hand Held relying on Camera IBIS, A7rII Kolari Vision UT sensor modified camera and Voigtlander 28mm f2 Ultron II VM lens; silent shutter.
