Hey Martin. There's some nice 3D going on in that shot. Knowing you use ACR like me (same version I believe) you should check the noise suppression tool it is *really* good compared to earlier versions. I know youve said you never reduce noice but try it, who knows you may like what you see
Thanks! I use the latest ACR for PS CS5, which isn't that new anymore. And I've been rethinking the noise suppression as well. Though I don't mind a bit of grain, so I rather leave it lower than 20% for most of the time.
Future versions of DNG converter is likely to be better for A7 ARWs but so far I do not always like what I see from my shots with the A7. I find more noise than I expect at low ISO too. Comparing to Canon 5D2 that is.
Yes, there is more noise at low ISO than I saw from the D700 too. But I don't mind really since it works very well even above ISO 12800.
My Contax 35/1.4 dont show any gap fortunately. But it makes the camera front heavy for sure. But I did not mind too much having it on the shoulder for an hour this afternoon. I have a few adapters by KIWI which I've learnt to trust. But if I recall you buy fancier brands than that :-)
I enjoyed shooting the ZF more than I ever did on the D700. Just pointing the lens straight down when carrying it. The gap is very tiny, so it might be there even if you haven't noticed. But holding the lens instead of the camera cures it.
Nice images there! I can see a bit of CA, which ACR often can reduce to zero without effort. Have you tried that?
