For the situation, you've got some really outstanding shots that they're going to be, or are, very happy with! Great job! Faves are 20 and 26, and 17 is almost there.

Wow! you documented the whole wedding and did it so well.

I like how you controlled light in #14 (clicking glasses at the table), dividing it between them and the background.

Her happy smile in #20 and the fine silhouette in #26 stand out for me, amongst the many other shots.

Thanks!

They had an officiant there to perform the ceremony, and I was able to sign as a witness.

There was also someone who worked at the resort able to take care of this, no worries.

Really love 17 and the fact that they weren't centered between the pillars. Of course, the silhouette in 20 was amazing as well. What a beautiful place to get married, with or without guests ;-)

Thanks. Perhaps, but both of their families live far away, and they've been living together for quite a few years. As you can see from their expressions, they were anything but sad. I love the fact that they chose to marry, when it seems that these days so many young people don't feel it important to do so. I remember nearly 32 years ago when my wife and I got married in front of a few dozen relatives and friends, we were completely stressed out worrying over whether our parents (all of whom were divorced and remarried and disliked each other) were going to be civil or rude. Thankfully, they were on their best behavior that night.

Nicely done, and kudos to them for making the commitment. As you say, many these days take it lightly or don't bother. I still think its the best thing you do... after many, many years of marriage.
