Back with another one for you.
We had a local race day in our little town, always a great opportunity for a quick shoot.

Below are a few from Maddy and Rachael who I've shot a number of times this year.

Maddy
Maddy was on fashions on the fields and had a great little outfit on, while looking for a place to shoot i saw this green wall and thought it perfect for her dress.

Rachael
Rachael is fast becoming my favorite model, We shot last week with a horse and couldn't resist a few more on this day as she looked stunning. I found this old chair around the corner where i shot Maddy so we walked a few meters and shot in an open field. Couldn't be easier.

These are all shot with an on board flash with a d800 and the 85mm

the fake tattoo thing is throwing me off on the second set. I like the first set, though her expression doesn't seem to change much. But any of them I like as a single. Thanks for sharing

Love the first set. Really enjoy the combination of pink on green background, it works out really nice.

Do you mean a Speedlite? Or the camera's built-in flash?

I used a speedlight on these sorry, one of those younguno ones of ebay, bargain for $80.

Good colourful set with good expressions throughout.

A few minor nits -

#1 & #3 have the hat cut off...

#3 A bit more DOF might be better.

#5 & #6. I like how well she stands out against the brighter background.

Thanks for taking a look mate.
All valid points, am cross with myself for not having both her eyes in focus in 3.

I read the post you made about the museum you went to and how the artists showed their subjects by either having them the brightest or darkest part of the image. While doing Rachaels ones it cam to mind and her dark skin and hair were perfect for the scene and went with it.

In the first set, I most like #2. I think because she has a great expression that seems to fit the scene (colorful and bright).

The ultra shallow DOF is a bit distracting for a couple of that set as I think the clothes and wall needed a bit more detail.

In the second set, #1 is great. Love everything about it other than the slightly hot lighting. The angle being just behind her gives a sense of reality that normally evades this kind of shooting. Perhaps lending it authenticity that comes from more candid work.

Two successful shoots, Bud.
Maddy shots: The green wall clashes a bit too much for me.
Rachael shots:
Excellent poses, terrific shooting and a model that goes well beyond being pretty.
The logo thing is obviously up to you.
To me, though, it detracts from Rachael's lovely legs. Placed in a less-conspicuous part of the images would be no distraction, though.

Sometimes we an get carried away at shooting wide open or close to and I certainly should have stopped down slightly. Live and learn.
1 of Rachael is a favorite, to be honest shooting her is easy. I don't say much to her, just tell her to stand/sit in certain places and she takes it from there.

Glad you enjoyed some of the images. Perhaps a darker green wall might have helped Maddy's shots more.
