This spring we saw a flock of wild turkeys on the property for the first time. We counted two adult hens and 19-poults, for a total of 21-birds. At last count we are down to 16-birds. This past weekend I watched as some of the turkeys flew up into a tree just off the deck. These shots are taken from the deck, which is 10-feet off the ground. The birds are probably 25-30 feet up into a big Basswood tree.

Amazing that in different parts of the country, wild turkeys are a 'find'. We have tons of them, about 10 were hanging out on the side of our garage today eating sloppy seconds from the bird feeders....but they are cool birds regardless.

Tough "tree noise" with these. They have certainly made a huge comeback in Ontario, considering they were extinct 25 years ago! Don

Actually in southern and central Mn. they are a pretty common find. I see more turkeys by shear numbers than I do deer around here.
