This is Split Rock Falls in the Keene Valley of the Adirondack's in upstate NY. Two views taken during different times of the year, the first is taken in June of this year with full flow and the 2nd was taken in late September of this year with a light flow . Those are great Dean. I definitely prefer the first one, showing the context, which is also attractive. One possible suggestion would be to move the color/tone sliders so the green and yellow are a bit lighter. The vegetation on either side of the falls tends to blend in with the rock, and it might stand out more if it were lightened. Not so much to compete with the water, but enough to stand out from the rock a little more.

I'm not familiar with this falls, but I should be if it is in Keene Valley. Is it on Johns Brook? Or is that the Ausable?

I do like the first one for it's lack of the common silky effect. Great BW processing.

Great job on these, Dean. You picked the sweet spot for the composition on #1 and nailed it. It was a great trip; looking forward to another one maybe in the spring.

I think the smooth effect in #2 enhances the portrait view; contrasts with the jagged rocks, and has just the right flow for it.
