I am looking at moving more into portrait work and had my 1st senior shoot today at 12 noon in South Florida!

I don't like the fact that he is holding his phone in #2, but I guess that's where this world is going. And I try and not use flashy things like a Camaro in a portrait, because it takes away from the real subject; the person. But good job, white balance in the last one looks off for his face.

Good set. I like how he stands out in each shot.

The phone shot has a nice candid look to it, like he just looked up from what he was doing.

In the car shot, adding headlights was a good choice. I don't find the car taking attention away from him, so I think you lit it/composed for it ideally.

Have to say when you said a noon shoot I thought another overexposed series of bad images. These are really nice and the phone and car are perfect for something different. I would reduce the head room in 1-4 to make him look taller.

Gome1122: The phone and the car pictures were basically shot to try and have him do something else with his hands than have them in his pockets.

I have another shoot with him doing some LAX shots and hopefully we will get more creative with those. At least his hands won't be in his pockets!

I agree! I would though, do a tiny bit of teeth whitening on two of the images.

Nice images, the only thing that I would say is in #2 & 4, is on the left shoulder, the shirt is creased such that it gives off a dark "hole" feel and is distracting to me.

Not sure if it bothers anyone else, but it's something that caught my eye. May be able to fix it in post, but not sure.

I also think these came out really nice. I could do without the phone also, but that's how kids are these days. My daughter's is like a new appendage. lol My only bit of CC is that he is up lit in #1 - light should be coming from the top on down.
