Beautiful composition! I was there recently and found that beautiful as the trees are, nice compositions are not that easy to find.

Craig - There are also some Bristlecones at Bryce and Cedar Breaks. That's not too far from you.

Wonderful shot & colours. Bristlecones are stunning, but yes, hard to shoot!
I like the square format too, works well.
