I went on a recent outing in the Smoky Mountain National Park as part of a workshop. The intent was fall colors, but not many of the trees had turned yet, so we made the most of the trip by shooting some other things.
Sunrise was a bit of a bust, as it was completely overcast and we never saw the sun. This was the best of it:

From there, we went further into the park, and stopped at a few water cascades and streams. I always enjoy this type of shot:

And finally sunset from Clingman's Dome. Never saw the sun here either, just like sunruse. But the clouds broke a few times, and we caught some rays shining down to the valley below. The first included the river, and other brought out some golds and oranges in the trees:

It was a nice trip, would love to be back in that area when the colors are at their best. Thanks for looking,
