I had the opportunity to shoot at the Jasper Dark Sky Festival this past weekend and considering this is the first time I have used my D800 for this type of work I was very pleased.

Dark nights for photography mixed in with excellent talks about astronomy made for a fascinating weekend in one of the most beautiful areas in the world. I'll be back!

wow, these are all very nice. Glad you had a great time. I see some clear skies there!
my night sky observing was usually solitary.....
