Had 2 shoots today. First was a maternity shoot and the couple was sweet and smiling. Then, a shoot with Laura for 2 hours, and I got several keepers. Hope she likes them. My friend Danielle helped me.

Great looking model and overall, nice photos.

Photo #1 - pose is a bit awkward. In particular, her face turned away from the camera along with the hard shadow on the far side of her face does not do her justice IMO. #2 is better in this regard and is a nice photo.

#3 - not sure how I feel about the "girl in a tree" motif... I'll get back to you on that

#4 - she is quite attractive. Just feeling like the skin tones are not right. Maybe yellow/red channels blown a little? Tough to get both the skin and black dress right in direct sunlight, but feeling there's some more work to be done here.

hmmm .. Ok. That wasn't direct sunlight. It was a SB-700 bounced off a gold-reflector umbrella. I'll try messing with the yellow/red channels and see what I get.

I'm usually not a B&W fan, but she has one of those angelic faces that gets lost in the color versions for some reason.

Impressive depth and detail in the blacks, adds a great deal of drama to the images. She has a very nice look, not too overpowering, lets you appreciate form and beauty.
#3 would like to see tighter perhaps
#4 skin tones to me look pinkish?

Really solid. Beautiful subject.

Would like to see her shot in an "edgier" local when in the black dress. Her poses and look are too much of a contrast to this prim and proper setting.
