Below the dam outflow, the Snake River meanders slowly for some of the time, and getting reflections is a matter of having a blowing wind- or not.
But it's still the river, not the lake

Thanks for the comments, guys.
In autumn I've always liked going to the higher elevations of Yellowstone first- and then traveling south to Tetons.
No place in the world has so much variety of fascinating surface geothermal activity as Yellowstone (plus wildlife)- and the Tetons has those incredible pointy peaks and better colors IMO (plus wildlife).
A good combo.

If you're camping in the Tetons, the Bend is a magnet- especially in mornings and sunsets.

I typically like muted colors but in this case I much prefer #1. Striking!
