One of my frequent sins- I get so interested in facial expressions that I sometimes chop off feet.
Oh, well- at least I'm happy with the boy's expression.
Yes, he was a lively kid.

I think that the expression is strong enough to draw the eye away from the feet.

I agree. (And I've been guilty of feet chopping with birds.)
