Yes, I got a good expression from the boy.
As with 99.9% of my close shots of people whom I ask to take their picture- I didn't pose them or prompt them. I merely asked these two to sit on the pumpkins; any expressions are of their own doing.
Perhaps not a good plan for portrait shooters, but then- I'm not a portrait shooter  .
Cute story about the boy. When I drove to his home to pick him up for "the shoot," he had toy handcuffs on. His Ma told me that he was playing with them and lost the key.
Boys WILL be boys  .
The other part of the cuffs is hanging out of sight.
Oh, the session was just a fun thing only.
I had seen the field of pumpkins and got the idea. The farmer said fine.
Then I asked the boy and his mother- and they also said okay.
I knew the boy was lively, and he DID have red/blonde hair, so he was perfect for this.
