I really like this, Bob.
And I just figured out something about myself (neither good nor bad).
I generally have trouble generating interest in tight closeup portraits of young people looking straight at a camera (children and beautiful young women being the occasional exception).
That's probably because I like context; at least a bit of it.
Older people have context in their faces all the time (often called "character lines."
So-called "smile lines," or (regrettably) the "down at the mouth" lines that indicate many years of frowning.
There are several kinds of character lines, and they usually take years to develop.
Kitty has some positive character lines imo, and to me it looks like she has a nice face.
A bit uncomfortable at having her picture taken by a stranger- but that's very normal.
People who AREN'T a bit uncomfortable are the odd ones .
