Spent a weekend with the Pennsylvania Elk the second week of September. They were just starting the annual rut. Got to view and photograph some decent sized bulls but the monster bulls of the past do not exist. I know a couple of the shots are a little tight on framing-but I only took the 600 lens to the top of the hill--then wished I had also taken the 300

C&C appreciated.

Some lovely captures here Jim. The first two work well, imo, with the tighter framing, although just a touch of green above the top point in #1 would make it we wee bit better (again, imo).

Great times there! Sure like the "look back" shot. #2 with the decorative grass on the crown and horns plus the puckered lips sure adds some character to that bull

Excellent! I like #1 and #2.

I went up there for my first and only time on Sunday, September 15th this year. I got a few shots as well, but not quite as good as yours!
