This is from 2 weeks ago. A very fast moving storm, with high winds and hail. When it finally made it to where I was, I had to grab the tripod and make a run for my truck. The wind was shaking my truck with each gust and rain was hard and coming in sideways. I had about 10 minutes to shoot color and Infrared before the deluge. I didn't notice until after I stitched this how much the clouds resemble a mushroom cloud explosion. I'd appreciate any comments or suggestions. Thanks.

Wonderful image and technically very, very well executed.
Looks sharp everywhere in the frame.

Love it - and its panoramic ratio! The blue skies in front of the CB really adds to the composition.

Great shot! The cloud formation is amazing and it was positioned perfectly for your composition with the butte. Should also look really god in B&W

Agree with Bob about the crop. The road looks a little out of place since it leads the eye out to the right frame, as opposed to directing the eye into the scene. I think the image would be stronger without the road. Next time (if there are other opps), find a comp that allows the road to draw the viewer in.

Other than that, I like it. Nicely done!!

How could you have the cloud perform for your shot like this? Incredible, indeed. I have never seen this perfect cloud umbrella or mushroom, if you prefer to call it that way.

I am wishing to have this kind of scene when I get there in ten days!!!!!

PS: I think no cropping is necessary. Okay with the road, and should be good to leave the clouds, upper umbrella like one intact without chopping. IMHO

Lovely image, and I too think the road is ok. Yes, it curves to the right "out of the picture", but it still leads my eye into that area of the frame, otherwise, I might ignore the little details there.

I think it's really a nice, unique view. I wouldn't crop it (at least not for us). I like looking at the expansiveness of the area.

You've done a fantastic job capturing the massive scale of that cloud. It gives the feeling of standing there and viewing the scene in person -- something I really enjoy about landscape photography.

Wow that is just amazing. I just feel like some great spaceship is going to bust through those clouds. Its really surreal looking. Great shot!

I prefer the crop. Very cool cloud and land formations here. I would love to see that peak up close.

Both great and I do think the crop makes for a stronger image - I like moving Factory Butte out of the center of the frame

Well.. I strongly prefer un-cropped original to the cropped one.
The original looks more stable, the factory butte is at the right location (1/3 location..) with a good balance off with the road.
More natural and easy on my eyes.
