On the Olympic Discovery Trail (a former Milwaukee Road railway that is being transformed into a foot, bike and horse route from Pt. Townsend to the Pacific Coast at La Push) this morning. Locked out of the Elwha Valley in Olympic National Park by shutdown since Tuesday and fortunate that there was an accessible nearby all season alternative that I have used through the years where the lowland forest meets the Pacific in the Straits of Juan de Fuca, part of Puget Sound.

A perfect overcast day for photography and the light was just right.
