Spent a long weekend in the UP. The wind was horrible, but I did manage to get some shooting in.

Forgive me if these do not display correctly. I managed to crash my site and have nto had time to work on it so I am linking these from Flickr.

Stopped at Eagle Harbor for a sunrise.

After the pinks faded the clouds softened and the oranges took over.

Then I headed to the Porkies to shoot a sunrise at Lake of the Clouds. A little rain was making its way towards me and a partial rainbow appeared over the Carp River valley.

After the rainbow faded the sun broke over the bluffs.

Very nice!
I was up there the week before. Sounds like peek will be middle next week. Potholes were fairly covered with a strong flow. That little carp river and union river sure are gems.

Super shots here! #3 is my least favorite, and not that it's bad, it's just the other 3 are my picks as really stand out shots.

Ben: A great series here. Jim says it all when a lovely picture like #3 is the least favorite, and even that is mighty fine in itself. Great job.

Thanks all! It wasn't as productive of a trip as I would have liked, but I'm happy with what I did get.
