Cool scene.

IMO I don't feel that HDR was necessary in an image like this.

Colors need refinement, there is a tremendous amount of blue/purple in the water while the sky is white.

Thanks for the input, I will just go back to the original nef and play with it without any HDR

Compositionally it is interesting and the scene is attractive with autumn foliate - but I agree that the saturation seems quite overdone to my eyes. (YMMV.) The blue of the water seems almost psychedelic! ;-)

I agree that you have a very good composition here, nice job with that. I am really surprised that you used HDR and yet the sky is blown out still... The whole point of HDR is supposed to expand the dynamic range of an image. In this shot there is no expanded range, simply some off coloring as is noted.

Your going back to the original and processing it without HDR is a good choice.

might be single image tone mapped? Colours need tweaking though, they are pretty crazy, nice view though
