Just a regular moonrise in a desert, few minutes from where I work. The only remarkable thing about it - its a double exposure in a single raw file, taken with the same lens. Please let me know what you think.

Hey Sasha,

That's pretty cool with the camera doing a double exposure like that. Nikon has had the ability for years now to do multiple exposures up to 9 shots even depending on the camera. And finally Canon has the ability multiple exposures. There are some cool things you can do with it. Is the output on yours as a raw or tiff?

As for the shot, it's cool looking, but it seems as though the trees are a bit washed out from the double exposure. A little contrast added there might be nice.

Jim, thanks!
Yes, it is cool, and there is an ability to combine as many exposures as one likes into one raw file, in-camera. As about trees- it was exposed as semi-transparent, for a ghosty look, so not sure I can add contrast now, after the fact. Moon came up nicely, I like it, and it was focused on manually.

Nice Shot(s)! Detail on the surface of the moon and in the dark desert in a single raw file is quite a feat. Sounds like you are going to have a lot of fun working with this capability. I look forward to seeing what you come up with. Thanks.

Thank you, Steve.
Fun it is, but this damn manual is very non-descriptive. Ordered something that (hopefully) is more detailed. Camera also has built-in digital teleconverter, that's how the moon was photographed.

Thank you for your opinion. The colors are muted, that it true, but on my calibrated monitor it does not look flat or boring. And recollection of about twenty mosquito bites per second plus hysterical laugh of coyotes nearby make my memories of this shot even less boring

Completelyl disagree. I'd have increased the black level a little bit more, but the image is far from flat and boring and has some very nice colors. Not sure what Kalina is referring to about out of focus. Looks fine to me at least at web resolutions. We're all entitled to our own opinions of course, and I personally like this shot a lot.
