I like the photo. Composition and DOF look just right to me.

The only small suggestion I have is a slight change in the eye position. Have your model not look too far away (or too far up in this case) from the camera. Keep the whites of the eyes showing all around.

Thanks everyone.

MazeRunner re PP - black and white obv, then used a colour balance layer to add a tiny bit of yellow to the highlights and blue to the shadows. This had the effect of adding a little contrast too.

Prefer #1 - when you get too high on her face and shoot dowenwards, the shortened chin she has + narrow lips is made more apparent; #2 has a slight 'low' vantage point which helps minimize that. Just a thought, don't want to offend anyone here up in [Sometimes Sensitive] People Photos.

I'd like to see #2 converted to B&W or editing out the yellow cast

Also another small nitpick, look into editing out all the hair between her eyebrows and hair line... or next time make sure she gets a wax or pluck before the shoot.

I wouldn't DREAM of even suggesting that or editing it out. I prefer women to Barbie dolls.

Is she not gorgeous enough?

Fair point, though I'm surprised. I actually picked her because of her full lips compared to most English girls.

if it was just thick brows, it would be one thing... but she has very obviously sculpted eye brows that don't look maintained...

I love both shots but there is something about #2 that really strikes me...perhaps the look in her eyes?
