p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Still exploring Sunset Crater, AZ

Sunset Crater is a tough place to shoot. I spend about 45 minutes wandering the gravel hills today and caught a couple of shots. I thought B&W worked best for these. I'll continue to keep going back there since it's such a cool area to wander around. All the landscape here is comprised of volcanic cinder cones, including the 12,000 ft+ San Fransisco Peaks.

Both nice comps with #2 my favorite. i like where you placed the tree in #1 - but the top half is too dark for my taste.

Nice shots! Great use of leading lines in both images. I like the sun ray in the background on the second shot, and the flowering bush in the foreground leads your eyes right to it!

These are pretty cool. Nice job bringing out the brightness and detail in the foreground objects. Really makes them pop.
