I'll try and give some helpful advice on each shot since no one else has replied yet. Don’t get offended, I’m just giving as many tips as I can think of
#1. This place has some great moody color in the water. Since you took this mid day, I would have suggested trying a composition focusing more on the foreground pebbles, and keeping the falls near the top of the frame. Then wait for one of the clouds to block the harsh sun. If you excluded the sky, it may help the falls appear larger and would cut down on the dynamic range also. It would also help to level things out a bit, because it looks slanted to the right even though your camera may be level.
#2. This is a nice shot. I would have excluded the fire pit and lawn chairs from the composition though, and used the tree line as the base of the photograph. If you eventually get into photoshoping, using your finger to block the sun in one of the images would help with that big flare on the right. Nice sun star though, I like that. Also, level the horizon.
#3. That’s a pretty cool reflection. Perhaps moving that out of focus tree away from the main boat would help. Keeping it in frame is good though, it helps draw the eye into the shot and give some depth. Again though, the harsh sunlight isn’t doing you many favors. It is tough to shoot in light like this.
#4. Nice use of the tree silhouettes to frame the image. It definitely needs a heavy amount of leveling though. I also think if you moved your body to the left, and excluded that dry patch on the hills, it would further simplify the scene. Some sweet sunset color would really help this shot and would make for a nice photograph. I think it is the most creative composition of the 4 shots.
Hope that helps a bit
