Great shots. I think I like 1 better due to the abundance of blue flowers.

And I hear you on the decision to stop and shoot. I have kicked myself a few times for trying to go too far rather than just stop and shoot where I am with the good light/conditions.

Thanks! Yeah, it's always a tug of war to know whether to stop or try to go on. I have been fortunate to make some good decisions in those cases, but then I have also blown it a few times...

The path running down the middle of the frame in #1 is a less than ideal. Image #2 is a better composition, but both images are overcooked given the true colors of the vegetation.

Thanks so much! They are both pushed a bit to the vibrant side with the contrast, the true test will be I need to print them and see how they feel.

pretty cool, beautiful scene,

although the foreground flowers seem brighter than the sunlit clouds which feels off in the way it was processed

Thanks! Glad you like it. As far as the foreground flowers, I didn't brighten them more than the scene was that I recall. I did tone down the clouds a bit as when I processed it, to me they seemed too bright, so perhaps I pulled them down too much... I appreciate the thought.

Both are great, but I really love the one with the path! Man I gotta get out there next year!

Great compositions. Got some great light with the pines. Have to go with the first shot. Like the uniformity of the blue flower field and the path that leads through it.

As far as the processing debate, little punchy for me. Think it'd shine better a bit more towards 'au naturale'

Sweet shots Jim! I'll cast my vote for #1 as well, but both are beautiful!
