Last Sunday I was out with my two oldest kids at our local gardens, I had taken my camera along to capture some wildlife in the surrounding lake.

The kids wanted to play on the swings so I sat next to them, across from me maybe 20 meters this gentleman was sitting. I held up my camera and pointed at it, he smiled back and I proceeded to take 3 photos, this been one of them. Shot at 420mm and processed a little edgy ( a big thanks to a fellow FM member for the PP technique).

So why is he a genie? well every time my kids see a gentleman with a turban they go Dad we just saw a genie

Nice portrait and I like the processing in general. For me though, I think the eyes are a bit dark. Not sure how it will look like if they are lighter / brighter... regardless, it is a nice capture.

Very nice portrait. Next time you meet this gentleman, or another Sikh, you could greet him with "Sat Sri Akal", which is how Sikhs typically greet each other.

Yes, I agree. The direction of the light (up high) is causing the dark eyes. Find a better angle for your main light and you will have more light in the eyes and a better picture.
