Traveling through a walkway that goes through a parks swamp and marshland I came across a willing participant while sharing it's dinner. This walkway goes through this back area of a park's lake that because of these beaver's especially in winter causes it to flood and make the area inaccessible. It's a nice little break that winds through for about 1/2 mile or more.
Unfortunately being late in the day I was having trouble getting shutter speed up where I would've liked and these aren't quite as sharp. I had to resort to manual focus for the most part because difficulties in locking on through the foliage.

Scott these are lovely!! What a wonderful place to shoot. 1, 3 and the last are my favorites. Great focus on the beaver in no 3 .

It's a nice park..the river flows through the other side with a trail between them, and occasionally I see hawks and eagles flying through there as well.

Thanks Ron...I'd wished I could stay longer but they lock the gates at dusk, and it's a bit of a walk to the car.

Reef isn't too far from the truth...a lot of the area you walk through is a maze, but you can come out to areas like this which is heaven for the beavers.

Figured I'd add another to show what these guys are so busy doing...This is on the other side off to the back end of that area.

Thanks Morris...it's nice for me, because it's only about 2 miles away but I had to stop on the road going in yesterday to move a turtle from the middle of the road
