1 is a bit dark
4 my second favorite could use a bit more dof, bump the ISO 1600 or 2k is nothing with that body (the camera not you you nut)
2 is my pick of the set, I just love the feel of the shot, I can almost see the bird floating around.

Crap, if I knew I was going to get this kind of treatment I would have stayed on the black and white forum where no one pays attention or comments (except a select few and you know who you are  ). Seriously, this is exactly the kind of stuff I want to hear and no one should be afraid to be honest and put their $.02 in. I would hope we all want to improve and the only way is to have a second, third or forth set of eyes critique the images. Of course I totally disagree with you ...no seriously, I was very surprised to have not been able to get 2 inches dof with f8....I was totally frustrated when I viewed the images on the computer and saw the tail feathers were oof...I'm sure I'll get another opportunity like this in another 60 years so what the hey!
Btw, you missed all my neat black and white shots while I was in a foreign forum.
