Got a chance to hang out here and try my hand at this scene. I did it more to practice with some new filters I got recently. I hope you all like it!

This view never ceases to amaze me. The purple hue is a little overpowering for me, do you have a version without the filter? This place is so beautiful that it does not need much filter work.

I'm afraid I don't have another one. I shot there only for a few minutes.

Hey Conrad,

A cool view of a cool place. I think here, the magenta just seems too strong. Perhaps add a little yellow to the color balance for the none sky areas.

I was trying everything to get rid of that magenta! Thanks Jim I'll try that!

Agree with what the others have said, this needs more yellow in white balance adjustment. The purple cast is WAY too overpowering.

The view is beautiful. Overwhelming magenta can be easily adjusted in color balance.

Excellent image Conrad. Along with what the others have said, a little color correction and contrast adjustment its going to be a beauty!

A terrific image, Conrad.
With all the heavy hitters chiming in- we members of the Peanut Gallery REALLY mean it when we say "My $.02 worth."
But since no federal laws will be broken- here's my simple fix to the color cast.
Auto color at 100%. It's a slider, so the degree of change is according to taste. I'm posting at 100% for the purpose of illustrating the change.

Way to go Conrad.
I'm still expecting a view from the 600mm
Yeah, those GND filters are a pain sometimes.
I would try the suggested methods but do it in layers & blend the result.

BTW, let me know when you want to pick up the Lee 10 stopper

Man you guys are the best! I appreciate all your tips and critiques. I did some more work on this to try to fix it up. I hoped to get more magenta out.

Hi, I like your image. The composition is quite good. I might have moved a bit more to the left to show a bit more of the entrance of the cove. But then there is a tree that will start to show since one has to use a wide angle lens for this composition. The brushes and flowers (he ones that are left) are in peak shape more during may. I went in early june and the vegetation was drying up. I see you "photoshopped" a lot of flowers in to fill the dead spaces.

I like your last take on it. It has a wee bit too much contrast in some parts but it is getting there. Glad your are taking in the suggestions and trying stuff out. It all comes down to taste and there is no really one perfect solution. But, this is location is photographed extensively so a lot of us know it very well. The light conditions were as good as they get in the summer so you got it good.
