Back from visiting inlaws in Florida.1st time I have been there in August(Hot).
Had to shoot what I could on limited time..The last shot was the last one I took on the Trip.

August in Florida.Thunderstorms pop up all day.

Hand held off kayak.over the shoulder and heavy crop.New nikon 80-400g

Opener is intense! Love the start of blue sky at top and then drop down through layers to the water, very cool shot.
Nice coastal colors on the birds Doug, nice IF shooting on them too

Tricolor over the shoulder from the yak is great!
Skimmer action is cool to see, looks like it hit a snag

Gosh you got me again with the storm clouds, love seeing these and now after the last I am quite relaxed again

That is a great image

very cool! looks like it was a productive trip. i like the sandwich tern, we don't often see those here on this board.

Beautiful mix of fine images, Doug! You did a fine job on these. They are all well exposed! The last one is really a great one

But each one of these has its own merit. Enjoyed the post.

But that penultimate image of the storm is really exceptional to me.

Thanks. Had less subjects to shoot this time of year then in the spring or fall and really had a hard time. Doug M

Karl glad you liked them.Was shooting with the 80-400 when the storms moved in and put a 18-200 VR on.Had to bring it to 18mm to get the water and blue sky in the shot.

Tri colored over the shoulder...My back still hurts because of how I contorted myself to get that.Was really surprised I got anything because I could not brace myself on anything

Just watching those storms for 45 minutes made my trip.They were beutifull Doug M

Thank you Morris.Those are my two favorites also. I do not do many landscapes and admire people who do them well and I know they are not technically that good...but I like them. Doug M

Thank you Dorian.I was totally baffled on what those terns were.They are very large and it was interesting to see how the Skimmers and those terns lived side by side.I have never seen them up North by me.Good I,D, Doug M

A lovely grouping of images Doug. Nice seascapes. Really enjoyed the skimmers and terns. But the last wins my vote for fave. Very nice of that gent to fly by the sun for you. Super shot.
