I like this a lot Bill, but find the boat keeps dragging my eye from what I assume to be the actual subject.

The man and his dog are "sheltered" somewhat by the wall, but there is lots to see here—a couple watching the boats, the boat itself (which follows the curve of the café wall), and a thick book in a lower corner. Plus, the bright/subtle contrast and colors. It is contradiction, the flow of life around us. A good time for coffee

And to let eyes wander.

I found the coffee shop sign a bit bothersome, grabbing attention from the "friends", but still enjoyed the shot.
